When did the transfer take place?

At the end of 2012 I was approached by a company that was interested in buying my company; an international webshop in ICT equipment. Their mission was simple: “you have something we don’t have, let us buy that”. Off course I knew that the reality would be more complicated than that. Therefore I started looking for a party to support me during the process.

Which unique subjects played a role in this process?

While my company is relatively young, we work in a competitive market where business transfer can be considered long before retiring . My business instincts told me that if I could make a good deal, I had to take this chance. From that moment on, we got to work. Starting with preparing for meetings with the potential buyer and evaluating the meetings afterwards. Match Plan provided me with excellent support throughout the entire process. Match Plans skills and exactness came in handy when the information memorandum and other presentation documents needed to be drafted. Non-disclosure agreements, letter of intent, and other documents were carefully designed or checked by Match Plan.

What were your experiences with us during the project?

After the establishment of an agreement on principles with the buyer, a period started where a lot of work needed to be done in relatively short time. Despite the time pressure, Match Plan functioned well. All formal and legal documents were decently drafted and changed hands multiple times between the selling and buying party. Match Plan played an important role in this process. All contracts were accurately checked and adapted until both parties gave their approval. This resulted in a satisfying deal and a solid future for both parties. I knew that the transfer certainly was not a small job, but I did not expect that it would be this complex. That is exactly why I am very pleased with the knowledge and support provided by Match Plan.
