The Speel-Inn and Jump-Inn childcare organization was founded in 2003 and has grown over the years into an organization with more than 120 employees, 7 locations in Noord-Holland and 1 in Utrecht. The organization offers daycare under “Play-Inn” and after-school care under “Jump-Inn”. Last year owner Martin Bakker decided to sell the organization for health reasons. He chose to be guided by Match Plan.
What is the added value of Match Plan in the advisory process?
They are experts and very knowledgeable and have taken away a lot of worries I had, which has been very important to me. My accountant and former financial director were also very pleased with the collaboration with Match Plan.
Is there anything else you would like to pass on to other entrepreneurs when selling their business?
That is of course very personal. But what I would like to say is that you have to take the plunge. Once you have made the decision you should no longer back down or any have doubts about the decision. Once you’ve made the decision, you should start seeing it as a commercial process and try not to get too emotionally involved. And only sell your organization to someone you have a very good feeling about. After putting your signature you are not immediately separated from each other, so listen carefully to your feelings.
Would you recommend Match Plan to friends and acquaintances? If so, why?
Yes absolutely! They think along with you, are proactive, keep true to their agreements and they are also very pleasant people to deal with. What I also liked is that they were honest when they disagreed with me and therefore did not just say whatever to please me. They substantiated in concrete terms why they did not agree with me and I just think that’s great.
