Battery Benelux forms BB Synergy BV with the addition of a new shareholder
Audiology specialist Battery Benelux, together with BB Hearing and HearPlanet, has renewed its corporate structure. Since July 2025, the three businesses have been operating together under the name BB Synergy BV. This step lays a solid foundation for the organization's continued professionalization and specialization.
New phase for trusted brands
BB Synergy BV combines three specialized trading activities: BB Hearing, a wholesaler for hearing care professionals and audiology centers; Battery Benelux, a supplier of batteries and energy solutions; and HearPlanet, a provider of consumer electronics for people with hearing loss. Together, they form a strong group that contributes to better hearing and sustainable energy consumption.
During the same period, Frans Story took over from Saskia de Wit-Mellink, who transferred her shares after 17 years. Frans brings extensive experience in the hearing, optical, and dental markets and will focus strategically on the company's further development. Edwin Mellink, as Managing Director, remains responsible for day-to-day management with the usual focus on customers, quality, and innovation.

Focus on further growth and collaboration
The restructuring under BB Synergy BV enables the three trading activities to establish a stronger and more independent presence in the market, while collaborating behind the scenes in purchasing, logistics, and IT. This allows the organization to further strengthen its position and respond even more effectively to developments in the audiology market.
The role of Match Plan
