QLS Group strengthens Belgian market position with acquisition of ShopWeDo
In the context of the takeover E-fulfilment specialist ShopWeDo has engaged QLS Group, part of investment firm Waterland Private Equity, to value its intangible assets. The valuation was performed via a Purchase Price Allocation (PPA), in accordance with the Financial Reporting Guidelines. This PPA was necessary for the correct accounting treatment of the transaction and provided insight into the strategic value of the acquisition.
Belgian market share strengthened
ShopWeDo, founded in Mechelen, has grown over the past ten years to become the market leader in e-fulfillment for Belgian SMEs. With a highly automated operation, including an AutoStore system, the company serves over 150 online stores. In addition to fulfillment, ShopWeDo offers distinctive extras such as personalized packaging, in-house printing, and customer-focused services. The acquisition enables QLS to strengthen its presence in Belgium and provide even better support to online stores in their logistics growth.
Strategic synergy within the group
Both QLS and ShopWeDo operate in e-commerce logistics and are strongly committed to automation and innovation. Joining forces creates a powerful combination of technology, customer focus, and scale. The acquisition aligns with QLS and Waterland's international growth strategy, with both parties aiming to further expand their fulfillment services within the Benelux and beyond.
Match Plan as a valuation partner
Match Plan, led by Richard Peeters, Director of Valuation, handled the PPA. The valuation covered aspects such as technology, customer relationships, brand name, and contract positions. Thanks to Match Plan's experience with PPA processes and reporting standards, QLS Group has a carefully substantiated valuation, which contributes to transparent reporting and the solid financial integration of ShopWeDo within the group.
