The valuation took place in the context of the distribution of the estate of Mr. Aart Alblas and the settlement of inheritance tax. Alblas has been a household name in Rotterdam for over 70 years and is known for its affordable scooter range, as well as scooter and bicycle repairs. The company is located on Paul Krugerstraat, where its operations are conducted in a building owned by A&E Alblas Holding BV. The holding company and its sister company, Berini BV, are real estate companies that rent out various properties in the neighborhood, largely derived from real estate acquired by the family over the years.
Valuation for inheritance tax and distribution of estate
After the death of Mr. Aart Alblas in September 2023, Match Plan was asked to prepare a valuation of the three companies involved. This valuation serves as a starting point for the heirs to fairly distribute the assets and pay the correct inheritance tax.
